Fleet & Transport Supervisor

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet & Transport Supervisor to join our Health Services Business Unit, based on-site in Yatala.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee the day-to-day performance of our transport and fleet operations, supported by our Fleet and Transport Coordinators and Transport Manager. You’ll be highly visible across the operation, leading your team to deliver safe, reliable and efficient services while identifying opportunities to continually improve the way we work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day transport and fleet operation, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable customer service.
  • Manage driver scheduling, fleet routing and resource planning to maximise fleet utilisation and efficiency.
  • Ensure transport activities meet regulatory requirements, including fatigue management, permits, maintenance and training.
  • Lead, coach and support the driver and transport team, setting clear expectations and driving a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance against key targets, identifying opportunities to improve cost and service outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across transport operations, planning ahead for peak periods, leave, public holidays and changing customer requirements.

About you

You’re an experienced transport leader who enjoys being close to the operation and working with people. You’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change, and you know how to balance safety, customer service, efficiency and team performance. Most importantly, you’re a proactive leader who builds strong relationships and brings your team along with you.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience leading or supervising teams within transport, logistics, fleet or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience coaching, developing and managing performance.
  • Sound knowledge of transport safety, compliance, scheduling and fleet operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to identify issues and improve performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across different levels of the business.
  • Confidence using technology and systems, including Microsoft Office, CRM and GPS or transport management systems.
