About the Opportunity

Working from our Bathurst branch on Wiradjuri Country, you'll be supported by experienced operators and leaders while developing the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a long-term career in transport and resource recovery.

This role provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced operational environment while developing professional driving skills with Australia's leading waste management company.

Roster

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work may occasionally be required

• 4:00am starts and onwards

Collections

• Commercial & Industrial Collections

Vehicle Type

• Rear Lift Collection Vehicle

What You'll Be Doing

• Learning to safely operate a rear lift collection vehicle
• Completing daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
• Collecting waste and recycling from commercial and industrial customers
• Working safely around customer sites, loading zones and traffic environments
• Performing manual handling activities throughout your shift
• Following safe work procedures and operational requirements
• Building confidence through structured driver training and mentoring
• Delivering professional customer service while representing Cleanaway

What We're Looking For

You don't need previous truck driving experience.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, you must:

• Hold a current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
• Have a minimum of 8 demerit points available
• Be able to obtain a Heavy Rigid Licence
• Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
• Be willing to complete drug and alcohol testing
• Be comfortable with early morning starts
• Be physically capable of manual handling activities
• Be committed to completing the Driver Academy program

• Hourly rate from $34.27 per hour
