| The Social Science Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor of Sociology to begin August 1, 2026. We are open to candidates with various specialties who are willing and able to teach the introductory course in sociology that serves the Seaver College Core program and/or an introductory statistics course in addition to courses in their specialties. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Sociology (although candidates who are ABD will also be considered), an active scholarly agenda, and a commitment to teaching excellence in a Christian liberal arts environment. |

| Under general supervision of the Supervisor, Custodial Services for the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), and in collaboration with your colleagues, assist in maintaining University by completing assigned landscape maintenance in coordination with upcoming or unforeseen events. Maintenance includes planting shrubs, flowers and trees, mowing, trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs, removing dead or unwanted trees, hand watering gardens and lawns, groundskeeping activities such as litter, trash removal, outdoor furniture cleaning and power washing or outdoor surface cleaning during the hours of 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm. |
