About the role:
We’re looking for a Retail Sales Manager to join our Sales team based in Townsville.
The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for the consistent achievement of (and where possible exceeding,) the individual & team revenue targets set by station management, for the identification, securing & retention of Clients for the applicable office and market, and for presenting the true value of the stations by consistently achieving, and wherever possible growing, the stations rate position.
The Retail Sales Manager is a standard-bearer of the culture and is primarily responsible for aligning the sales team with the solution sales philosophy, to promote a culture with a passion for excellence and a winning spirit.
What you’ll be doing:
- Set team direction, communicate goals, and maintain a cohesive, motivated team.
- Build and strengthen relationships with new/potential clients and internal teams.
- Measure and report on sales performance, setting KPIs and budgets.
- Develop and coach account managers with regular training and field support.
- Lead structured meetings to foster inspiration and team alignment.
- Prepare reports on revenue projections, lost business, and client needs analysis.
- Drive client retention and new business through tailored proposals and strategic planning.
- Support marketing strategies and account executives to maximise opportunities.
- Lead proactive recruitment and foster outstanding customer service through creative solutions.
- Deliver exceptional service to clients, tailoring presentations and maximising revenue opportunities.
- Proactively prospect new clients, manage portfolios, and consistently exceed sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external clients, continually developing industry expertise.
Experience we’re looking for:
- 2 – 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or similar
- Strong track record meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience leading and developing a high-performing, diverse team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience utilizing a CRM effectively to contribute to sales strategy and planning
- 2 - 3 years’ Southern Cross Austereo sales experience desired
- A passion for the local market, with preexisting business relationships and networks
