Overview:
RMU Campus Rec is looking for outgoing and qualified candidates who would like the opportunity to be actively involved in its various club sport programs. The Men’s Club Basketball Student Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the RMU Club Basketball program. This position provides students with firsthand experience in the inner workings of a collegiate club sports program. Under the guidance of the team’s coaching staff and the Director of Competitive & Recreational Sports, the student managers will assist with team logistics, equipment management, practice preparation, and game-day operations. Through this position, students will build professional relationships with coaches, athletes, and administrative staff, while gaining valuable insight into the organization and management of a successful sports program. The role offers practical, hands-on experience throughout the regular season and off-season.
Responsibilities:
Set up and break down equipment for practices and games, including game clocks, basketballs, and other team gear. Ensure the court is ready for use before all team activities. Travel with the team to some away competitions. Pack and manage team equipment for travel, and assist during both practices and games while on the road. Support the coaching staff during practices, games, and team travel. Foster a positive and respectful working relationship with student-athletes, coaches, and administrative staff. Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic
Minimum Qualifications:
We are looking for students who exemplify the core values of our program and demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and brings consistent energy and punctuality to every practice, game, and team activity. A strong work ethic, a team-first mindset, and the ability to build respectful relationships with student-athletes and staff are essential. Students from any academic major are welcome and encouraged to apply. No prior basketball experience is required, but students must bring a willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the program.
