The University of Delaware Center for Global Programs and Services provides leadership and support for programs and experiences that contribute to the education of informed, skilled, open-minded citizens of the world.
Role Description:
Under the direct supervision of the CGPS Communications Specialist II, the Digital Media Assistant is a student member of a team that supports the outreach efforts of the Center for Global Programs and Services (CGPS). The primary responsibility of the Digital Media Assistant is to craft and post digital content in support of the University’s global brand.
Primary Responsibilities:
The CGPS Digital Media Assistant will assist in:
- Generating and posting content for CGPS social media, blog, and web
- Contributing to social media idea creation and planning
- Filming and editing videos for social media, events, and web
- Collecting analytics for CGPS social media and web
- Conducting market research
- Supporting activities related to CGPS campus events
- Providing communications and customer service support to the CGPS office
- Other duties as assigned by the CGPS Communications Specialist, to include attendance at a weekly meeting with the CGPS Communications team
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills
- Basic familiarity with video editing software, social media platforms, project and content management systems preferred
- Team-oriented and demonstrates a flexible work ethic as projects may require evening or weekend hours and often entails work away from a desk
