The Community School Coordinator develops, directs and manages the school-based University/Community collaboration located in Fountain Hill Elementary School. The role of the coordinator is complex and requires a dynamic person who can effectively navigate and interconnect multiple systems to achieve success for students and families. (This is a soft dollars, grant funded position). This person is responsible for the program development and implementation, training and advising, assessment and evaluation as well as assisting with the long term vision and planning for the community school model in Fountain Hill Elementary School. This position is a Grade: 9-40 with an approximate salary range of $53,580-$65,210 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications

1. Oversight and implementation of data driven interventions related to the key priority areas of the Community School Model
*Develop, manage and execute data driven strategies to address the needs
*Lead systematic evaluation of program, activity and event effectiveness
*Utilize positive youth development resources to improve student attendance, behavior and/or academic performance
*Generate reports on outcomes of the Community School efforts for various stakeholders
*Collect, review and analyze student data to develop new strategies and plan for continuous improvement of existing interventions

2. Project Management and Coordination of Resources
*Provide project support and management to all individuals secured to support the Community School effort
*Delegate and monitor effectiveness of tasks performed by Community School Staff
*Recruit, train and coordinate all volunteers at school site
*Solicit, coordinate and distribute basic needs to ensure that this function is being performed in the context of the Community School
*Identify and build relationships with key service providers needed to best support students and families
*Monitor all budgets associated with Community School support at the school level

3. Leadership and Communication
*Facilitate Core team meetings, sharing relevant data, highlighting concerns and developing solutions
*Lead, develop and facilitate effective community leadership team
*Actively participate in faculty meetings, grade level meetings, child study, attendance team meetings, grade level meetings, child study, conferences, weekly meetings with school principal
*Formal supervision sessions with lead partner, staff meetings and trainings
*Attend school district in-services and trainings
*Advise Community-level committee meetings, task forces, etc
*Individual meetings with key partners who are and are not yet connected to the school

4. Serve as an integral member of the Community Service Office (CSO) team
*Serve on CSO committees
*Collaborate with University administration and other offices to facilitate good inter office working relationships and partnerships
*Provide guidance and serve as a resource to faculty/staff related to community school

The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor 

The ability to work some evenings until 9 pm and some weekends

Required to work a varied schedule some days starting at 7:30 am but others as late as 11:00 am

This position is funded by soft dollars; there is no severance associated with this position

This position works with minors

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related degree; Master's Degree preferred

Three to five years experience in K-12 school or Higher Ed

Experience collecting and using data to prepare reports

Enjoys collaborating and communicating with program managers, colleagues, board members, and external partners

Leadership & team-building abilities 

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
