Join Lehigh University's prestigious Mountain Hawks athletics program as our next Director of Football Operations! This full-time, exempt position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead comprehensive operational strategy for one of our flagship programs while contributing to our mission of academic and athletic excellence.

Position Number: S97600

This position is a Grade: 7 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $39,080-$46,910 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees day-to-day program operations, ensuring efficient internal organization and communications.
• Develops and maintains practice schedules, team calendars, and annual operational plans.
• Coordinates all team travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, meals, itineraries, per diem, and associated budgeting.
• Manages all gameday logistics for home and away contests, including sideline operations, team movement, pre-game and post-game procedures, and coordination with game management staff.
• Supports operational planning for preseason camp and other annual program phases.
• Serves as a primary point of contact for student-athletes regarding logistics, communication, and daily program flow.
• Helps facilitate academic support processes in collaboration with Academic Services, including study hall tracking and monitoring academic/class conflicts.
• Assists student-athletes with housing arrangements, meal plan coordination, onboarding processes, and general life-management needs to support well-being and retention.
• Maintains strong, supportive relationships with student-athletes while upholding program expectations and operational protocols.
• Tracks and monitors operational budgets related to travel, meals, equipment, and program purchases; supports responsible fiscal management.
• Helps ensure operational compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations—particularly related to recruiting logistics, playing/practice season rules, travel rosters, and CARA log procedures.
• Collaborates with the compliance office, business operations, and athletic administration to ensure accurate, timely documentation and approvals.
• Assists with logistical coordination of summer camps and clinics (non-coaching operational duties), ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
• Plans and manages special events such as team banquets, alumni reunions, Pro Day, official/unofficial visits, and preseason fall camp organizations.
• Partners with marketing, communications, and development to support external initiatives, game atmosphere experiences, and donor/alumni engagement activities.
• Supports execution of special projects as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Administration.
• Serves as a central liaison between football staff and key campus offices, including facilities, academic services, compliance, dining, housing, transportation, and communications.
• Provides leadership in establishing efficient operational systems, workflows, and communication channels within the program.
• Contributes to long-term operational planning, program evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assisting with official/unofficial visit logistics.
• Coordinating meals, transportation, hotels, and schedules for prospective student-athletes and families.
• Managing software platforms (e.g., Teamworks, ARMS, JumpForward).
• Overseeing distribution of schedules, reminders, and compliance workflows through these systems.
• Managing on field head to head communication devices for program
• Reserving practice fields, weight room blocks, meeting spaces.
• Working with facilities staff on field setup, locker room prep, equipment staging.
• Manages interns, student workers, and GA-level staff
• Hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of support staff.
• Managing volunteer staff, film crew, or operations interns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• CPR and First Aid certifications required
• Three to five years of related work experience
