The Department of Sociology is hiring multiple student assistants to support daily operations in the front office. Responsibilities include greeting and escorting visitors, setting up and taking down events, creating and replenishing flyers, maintaining student lounges, assisting with scheduling and calendar tasks, supporting faculty with copy requests and office supplies, and providing general clerical support when primary responsibilities are minimal. Position requires 10-15 hours per week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling available.
The Division of Politics, Administration & Justice houses undergraduate programs in Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Public Administration, and graduate programs in Political Science and Public Administration. As such,we have one of the largest majors at the university (Criminal Justice) and one of the largest courses in the University (POSC 100), so our office handles both a lot of inquiries from majors and non-majors. Our mission is two-fold: to serve our campus community and to prepare our majors for public service themselves.
Students may perform technical work related to production at direction of faculty or production staff. The Student Assistant will assist small groups of students’ practicing in preparation for daily lessons with artist faculty. In addition, the student may assist faculty/production faculty with logistics related to daily lessons and master classes, studio/ensemble schedules and final concerts.
Under direct supervision, Student Assistants perform duties ranging from unskilled to skilled and/or specialized, in a variety of positions that typically require the use of manual, clerical, public contact, and/or analytical skill. Assignments may have limited use of discretion and judgment. Work is regularly reviewed and may entail detailed instructions. Specific job duties are defined by the appropriate campus department.

The HSS Dean's Office is looking for a student assistant majoring in Communications (Journalism or Public Relations concentration), English, or a closely related field . The incumbent will work with the HSS Marketing and Communication Strategist interviewing, writing, and editing content that highlights the college's students, faculty, alumni, research, and programs.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.
Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR) In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR) is also available for viewing. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
