We are looking for a communicator to help share stories and build our community through a variety of news and multimedia projects, including videos, photos, illustrations, graphics, and other visual stories about the latest discoveries in clean energy research; profiles of our students, staff, and researchers; newsletters; and events. |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
Curiosity about science and people Experience using photo, video, and/or audio editing software Experience with photography, video, and/or audio production. Experience creating visually appealing graphics Commitment to advancing equity, promoting diversity, and practicing inclusion Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Linkedin a plus

Position Summary/Job Duties:
|
As a Wisconsin Energy Institute student intern, you’ll be communicating about cutting-edge research in clean energy, a field with important stories for varied audiences. You’ll hone invaluable skills for communicating complex ideas to general audiences as well as faculty, staff, and students. You’ll have the chance to connect the stories of energy, our environment, and those passionate about energy issues.

Duties: Research and create multimedia content for internal and external communications projects related to energy research on campus Assist with video, photo and audio production needs for social media, newsletters, and web stories Update websites with articles, images, announcements, and multimedia content Create web banners, email images, and social media posts to market events and share our research Draft and publish email newsletters
