Department Overview:

The Student Assistant for Faculty Affairs in the UW-Madison School of Nursing provides administrative and organizational support to the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and the faculty affairs support staff, including document, spreadsheet, and forms editing, file and content organization, and data management.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be an enrolled student or have proof of enrollment; prefer minimum of one academic year commitment. Particular consideration will be given to applicants with one or more years left on their course of study.
An understanding of general computer software, Microsoft Office programs, and technology is required; experience with spreadsheet management, Adobe, Qualtrics, or Google Suite preferred.

- Proficiency in current office software (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)
- Sound Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Attention to detail, self-directed, flexible, willing to learn
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to set and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well both independently and in collaborative team setting

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Provide general administrative support to the faculty affairs staff and the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs in the School ofNursing.

Physical Demands:

Sitting for extended periods of time. Moderate physical activity at times with handling of average-weight objects up to 50 lbs. Using standard computer equipment to type. Working is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
