Department Overview:

The Technology Entrepreneurship Office (TEO) helps faculty, students, and staff commercialize their ideas. We work with teams all the way from idea, to start up, to scale up. Our three main goals as an office are to accelerate technology transfer, make critical connections, and leverage essential resources.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled undergraduate student.
Major in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Position Summary/Job Duties:

1. Newsletter Management:
Write, edit, and maintain the TEO newsletter.
Promote the newsletter to the campus community.
2. Social Media Coordination:
Manage TEO’s social media accounts (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Create and schedule posts related to TEO events, programs, and success stories.
3. Outreach and Networking:
Utilize campus databases to identify faculty and graduate students.
Develop an outreach plan to engage with potential collaborators.
Coordinate with TEO staff to ensure timely communication.
4. Event Support:
Assist in organizing and promoting TEO events.
Ensure promotional materials (flyers, banners, etc.) are prepared.
Staff the TEO booth during events.
5. Coordinate with the Marketing and Communication department in GIE
