Department Overview:

UW-Madison's Division of Extension serves the people and communities of Wisconsin by addressing local, statewide, and national issues, improving lives through research-based education, fostering partnerships and action, and facilitating positive impacts. This role will provide support for the 4-H program in Pepin, Dodge, Sauk and Chippewa Counties under the supervision and direction of the 4-H Program Educator. |

Qualifications:
|
H.S. diploma Employment will require a criminal background check Student must be enrolled for credit at an educational institution. Student will need to show proof of enrollment before starting |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
Effective word processing, computer technology and file management skills Demonstrated ability to assist with planning and delivering educational programs Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, and through technology Ability to work with in a team setting and independently with minimal supervision depending on project needs.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
|
• Collaborate with 4-H Program Educator to plan, execute, and evaluate educational programs. Create and implement educational programs to support 4-H members and leaders in counties listed above. • Prepare all required reports and lesson plans associated with duties. • Assist individuals in person, over the phone, and via email with high quality customer service. • Partner with existing youth and adult volunteer leaders necessary to carry out 4-H youth development programming. • Perform basic office duties (copy, mailings, return calls, emails, etc.). • Complete all necessary training. • Out of Office direct program delivery includes a variety of settings and includes uneven terrain, inclines, with sun, rain, wind and dust possible.
