Nakira's World is an innovative educational technology company dedicated to making STEM learning fun and engaging for young children. We create interactive and immersive learning experiences that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning in children ages 4-14.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a university program, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of mobile application development.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Swift
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Federal work-study required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

A mobile app development intern needs technical skills like programming languages (Java, Kotlin for Android; Swift, Objective-C for iOS) and IDEs (Android Studio, Xcode), UI/UX design basics, familiarity with version control (Git), and API integration. Essential soft skills include problem-solving, strong communication, teamwork, and a passion for learning new technologies.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Assists senior developers by participating in the design, coding, testing, debugging, and updating of mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. Key duties include implementing new features, fixing bugs, optimizing performance, writing documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and learning industry best practices and new technologies to build real-world mobile applications.
