About the role
We are seeking passionate and child focused people to join our Crèche team at our new Norlane ARC (Aquatic & Recreation Centre). In these Certificate III level roles, you will play a key role in providing children with an engaging environment that supports their learning and development. Working closely with the Team Leader, you will implement developmentally appropriate programs for all ages and ensure a safe and stimulating setting.

The Crèche programs operate between the hours of 8:45am – 11:45am Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure an inclusive, safe, caring and stimulating environment exists for all children and that the health and well-being of each child is a priority.
  • Assist with the implementation of an age and developmentally appropriate programs for all children, individually and in group situations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Crèche room and equipment are maintained to a high standard of safety, cleanliness and repair.
  • Ensuring an excellent standard of care of children in accordance with Children’s Services Regulations 1998, Children’s Services Act 1996 and National Accreditation Standards.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in a child care setting, with experience or desire to develop into a leadership position. You will have the ability to work and communicate with a diverse range of people, the ability to plan programs for children engaged in child care services, and well developed skills in observing and interpreting childrens’ behaviour.

Essential Experience:

  • Sound knowledge of the development of children.
  • Previous experience in the care of pre-school children.
  • Certificate III in Children’s Services with practical experience in the care of children.
  • Working with Children Check (Vic) & First Aid level 2.
  • Preferred candidates will be required to perform a National Police Check and undergo a Pre Employment Medical Assessment as part of the recruitment process.
