About the role
We are seeking a motivated, results driven sales professional to strengthen our sales culture and help grow our membership base. In this role, you will be responsible for the centralised delivery of membership sales for Swim Sport & Leisure, promoting a strong sales and customer-centric approach across our network of centres. You will support the Membership Sales and Services Coordinator in planning, reporting, and implementing effective, customer-focused sales systems and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Membership Sales and Services Coordinator to ensure sales systems and processes meets business needs.
  • Conducting tours of Swim Sport & Leisure centres for potential members, with the specific aim of educating the community about the services provided and selling memberships.
  • Communicating with members, including phone calls, outreach activities and written communications related to membership queries.
  • Assist the Membership Sales and Services Coordinator in administrative duties relevant to sales including reporting and activities related to debt control and membership lifecycle.
  • Assist the Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience team with duties including marketing activations, centre displays, new member acquisition, retention initiatives and managing customer feedback.

About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in sales and working in a member-based organisation. You will be comfortable liaising with a diverse range of people, have strong communication and negotiation skills, along with high levels of resilience, attention to detail and enjoy identifying practical solutions to issues that you encounter.

Essential Experience:

  • Previous sales experience in a competitive environment.
  • High level customer service skills and understanding of customer experience.
  • Ability to plan and organise a range of tasks to meet timeframes and carry out assigned tasks.
  • Experience in working in a customer service/reception environment and an understanding of Perfect Gym/ Membership Management Systems would be highly regarded.
  • The ability to be flexible and work across multiple centres in Greater Geelong. Position may involve morning, evening and weekend shifts.
  • Current (employee) Working with Children Check.
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process
