About the role
To successfully fulfil this role, you will be a strong writer and content creator and have a passion for social media and writing for the web. You will ensure the quality, consistency, integrity and governance of the Swim, Sport and Leisure brand is maintained and support Leisure and Recreation departments with photography, briefing artwork, writing communication pieces and marketing administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Source and create engaging content for seven Swim Sport & Leisure social media platforms and respond to customer enquiries via these platforms.
  • Assist the Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience Manager with campaign development, brand management and roll-out of marketing strategies, programs and action plans.
  • Writing and recording video content for social media, eDM newsletters and website landing pages.
  • Developing and maintaining up-to-date Swim Sport & Leisure department website content.
  • Administer and facilitate marketing and communication software programs.

About yoU
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong communicator, with previous experience or an interest in the leisure, sport or health industries. You will have experience with brand and writing style guides and have the journalistic ability to seek information to tell stories that align with brand and marketing. You will enjoy the use of social media and approaching community members for stories and photographs.

Essential Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Digital Communications or Business or relevant experience in the above fields.
  • Experience with or understanding of brand management and style guidelines, marketing strategy and how this applies to planning.
  • Ability to develop marketing collateral and communications plans and have a commitment to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong experience in the digital environment relating to websites, e-newsletters, social media and content generation.
  • Experience in the development, implementation, evaluation and reporting of marketing, retention and loyalty projects and strategies.
  • Working with Children Check
