Job Description

The Department of Finance in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech anticipates one opening for a tenure-track Associate or Full Professor beginning Fall 2023. The job duties include teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, advising PhD students, conducting high-quality research and performing service assignments. Occasional travel to attend professional conferences and meetings is required.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have a record of publication in top-tier Finance journals and commensurate teaching and leadership experience. Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of academic or comparable government experience. All candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Finance or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with a doctoral degree in Finance from a premier business school will be strongly preferred.
