Student Life Ambassador Overland Park Main Campus
Student Life Ambassadors (SLA) assist in the development and implementation of programs that foster student engagement and belonging at JCCC. Additionally, this position helps perform the day-to-day functions associated with the operations of Student Life offices and are hired for one of the below teams: - Center for Student Involvement: Clubs & Organizations – Get Involved @ JCCC engagement portal - Student Lounge: living room of the campus – gaming consoles & equipment check-out. - Student Engagement Desk/Student Activities: Student ID Cards & College Switchboard - Student Basic Needs Center: Cav Cupboard food pantry, emergency housing/transportation assistance or other hardships. ATS Support Technician Overland Park Main Campus
Provide timely support services to onsite and remote employees with basic/first-level technical problems and information to issues involving desktop, laptop, or network services. Also serves as a technical team member for day-to-day operations as well as project-related support services and emergency support scenarios.
Classroom Aide Overland Park Main Campus
Support the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) students enrolled in classes and faculty by ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized laboratory and classroom environment.
Admissions Navigator Overland Park Main Campus
Utilize strategic enrollment activities to assist prospective students (and their parents/influencers) through the admission process. Build relationships with prospects, engage them in the JCCC community, and connect them with resources as needed to navigate their college path. Coach prospective students in academic support and major exploration. Determine how transfer-in coursework aligns with academic programs. Track student progression through challenges and barriers that could impede transition. Advise students through program exploration and entrance, and applicable academic/program policies. Navigate prospective students into their academic program or pathway. Suggest appropriate course options by creating an academic plan to support the student’s goals. Form effective relationships with academic and student services programs to facilitate student success. Effectively use the appropriate software program to manage a caseload of students, conduct proactive outreach, follow up on concerns, and refer students to appropriate resources. Primary referral will be to counseling for academic plan development and holistic counseling.
Honors Student Ambassador Overland Park Main Campus
Perform receptionist and front desk duties while displaying excellent customer service on behalf of the Honors Program at Johnson County Community College (JCCC).This position is only open to current JCCC students in the Honors Program. Activities will include marketing as well as event planning, and recruitment (including social media) to honors peers.
Continuing Education Instructor, Life and Leisure Overland Park Main Campus
Life and Leisure (L&L) provides quality continuing education opportunities for students seeking to learn more about in topics such as: Arts & Crafts, Dance, Egyptology, Food & Wine, Foreign Languages, Home & Garden, Music, Photography, and more. Qualified instructors are needed to develop and deliver various life and leisure classes. Classes are conducted in a continuing education classroom environment or live online in the morning, afternoon or evening sessions during weekdays or weekends.
Veteran Services Intern Overland Park Main Campus
The Veteran Services Outreach Intern position has three functional areas of responsibility: PAVE Peer Advisor, JCSVA Lead Officer, and Veteran Services Office Aide. Based on an agreement between the student intern and supervisor, the student intern will perform one, two or all three of the objectives.
Information Security Student Intern Overland Park Main Campus
The Information Security Student Intern is responsible for assisting the IT Security Officer with many components of the institution's information security program. The Intern will primarily be responsible for supporting IT Security staff on a variety of security projects including Network Security Monitoring, IT Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), Security Program Development, Identity Management (IdM), Application Assessments, and targeted research to support active security initiatives. The core requirement is a commitment to learning about and an eagerness to participate in projects related to information security. Other related duties as assigned.
