Sergeant Police Department Overland Park Main Campus
Supervise Police Officers and other assigned Police personnel in the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) Police department. Responsible for the enforcement of rules, regulations, and state and local laws, as well as the security of JCCC’s campus.
Student Media Center Overland Park Main Campus
Seeking students with strong communication skills in multi-media, including writing, photography, videography, on-camera presentation, design and illustration, and podcasting, to work as staff members on The Messenger, JCCC's student news website. Senior Content Staff will focus on various topics and learn to use multiple media professionally. However, we also encourage applicants to let us know their preferred mediums. These are the positions we are seeking to fill (please let us know which interests you in your cover letter): * Social Media Production Editor (1) - Oversees all news and branding content on all social media sites, except YouTube. * Video Production Editor (1) - Oversees all news and feature video creation for the website and The Messenger YouTube page. * Copy Editor (1) - Oversees all proofreading and AP Style adherence of written content, including in articles, videos, and previews for videos and podcasts. * Senior News & Feature Reporter (3) - Cover the campus from news and events to features and creative topics that will appeal to the wide array of JCCC Students. • Senior Sports Reporter (1) - Cover the various teams with game coverage, previews, features, and round-ups to inform students about JCCC's championship-caliber teams. • Senior Photographer (1) - Capture still and video images of news and sports on campus, working with reporters and editors to ensure the best imagery for our digital stories. • Senior Videographer (1) - Work with both the Social Media and Video editors to create short and mid-length form news, feature, and sports content for The Messenger's YouTube and Instagram pages. • Senior Designer and Illustrator (1) - Create illustrations, including infographics and other visual explainers, as well as design the semester-end magazine.
Global Engagement Ambassador Overland Park Main Campus
This position will serve as a support to the Global Engagement staff by promoting initiatives of the Global Engagement office including events, activities, and credit-bearing opportunities such as Study Away and the Global Awareness Program. The ideal candidate would be an energetic, outgoing current student with a passion for international relations and comfort with communicating opportunities to a variety of students in different settings (publicly, in writing, etc).
Student Employee - Work Study Overland Park Main Campus
The financial aid department oversees the Work Study program which provides JCCC students an opportunity to work in a part-time capacity while attending school to earn money to assist in education expenses.

The Business Solutions area provides quality customized training opportunities for clients seeking to learn more about specialized areas. Qualified instructors are needed to develop and deliver various contract trainings. Classes are conducted either in a continuing education classroom environment, live online, or at the client site in the morning, afternoon or evening sessions during weekdays or weekends. Business Solutions instructors for this position should be prepared to create and deliver content. A variety of topics or areas will be offered so the audience can draw from for personal and professional enrichment. Instructors are expected to provide quality teaching materials including documentation to substantiate teaching.

Honors Ambassador Overland Park Main Campus
Perform receptionist and front desk duties while displaying excellent customer service on behalf of the Honors Program at Johnson County Community College (JCCC).This position is only open to current JCCC students in the Honors Program. Activities will include marketing as well as event planning, and recruitment (including social media) to honors peers.
Veteran Services Intern Overland Park Main Campus
The Veteran Services Outreach Intern position has three functional areas of responsibility: PAVE Peer Advisor, JCSVA Lead Officer, and Veteran Services Office Aide. Based on an agreement between the student intern and supervisor, the student intern will perform one, two or all three of the objectives.
