Editor-in-Chief, Student Media Center Overland Park Main Campus
Oversees the Student Media Center, inclusive of the student online newspaper and the student video production team. Plans student-centered editorial content with student editors and staff, including assignment of stories, photos, cartoons and videos, and setting of deadlines. Approves and posts content on Student Media Center website. Conducts regular staff meetings and monitors staff progress. Collaborates with advertising and social media staff regarding content and image presentation. Serves as spokesperson for the Student Mdia Center. Hires staff with assistance of Student Media Coordinator.
Student Employee - Work Study Overland Park Main Campus
The financial aid department oversees the Work Study program which provides JCCC students an opportunity to work in a part-time capacity while attending school to earn money to assist in education expenses.
Continuing Education Instructor, Life and Leisure Overland Park Main Campus
Life and Leisure (L&L) provides quality continuing education opportunities for students seeking to learn more about in topics such as: Arts & Crafts, Dance, Egyptology, Food & Wine, Foreign Languages, Home & Garden, Music, Photography, and more. Qualified instructors are needed to develop and deliver various life and leisure classes. Classes are conducted in a continuing education classroom environment or live online in the morning, afternoon or evening sessions during weekdays or weekends.
Veteran Services Intern Overland Park Main Campus
The Veteran Services Outreach Intern position has three functional areas of responsibility: PAVE Peer Advisor, JCSVA Lead Officer, and Veteran Services Office Aide. Based on an agreement between the student intern and supervisor, the student intern will perform one, two or all three of the objectives.
Information Security Student Intern Overland Park Main Campus
The Information Security Student Intern is responsible for assisting the IT Security Officer with many components of the institution's information security program. The Intern will primarily be responsible for supporting IT Security staff on a variety of security projects including Network Security Monitoring, IT Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), Security Program Development, Identity Management (IdM), Application Assessments, and targeted research to support active security initiatives. The core requirement is a commitment to learning about and an eagerness to participate in projects related to information security. Other related duties as assigned.
