Perform custodial duties independently or within a team environment as assigned providing a high standard of cleanliness. This position is M-F, 5:00 pm - 1:30 am. Change linens, make beds, and bunk/debunk beds. Check fire extinguisher and related equipment as scheduled and report any deficiencies to the supervisor. Depending on assignment, may be required to move custodial equipment, fill in for vacant positions, etc. Disinfect restrooms, showers, and locker rooms. Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. Empty waste baskets, trash containers and gather and dispose of trash and foreign material from assigned area (to include perimeter of assigned building). Maintain current knowledge of bloodborne pathogen policies and procedures. May be responsible for carrying, distributing, and delivering custodial supplies and equipment. Minimize waste of cleaning, paper, soap, and other supplies. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Adjunct - Student Teacher Supervisors - Multiple locations in Michigan - School of Education Multiple Locations
The Student Teacher Supervisor serves as a liaison between the School of Education, Michigan partner schools, and teacher candidates during their apprenticeship or internship experience. The supervisor provides instructional coaching, conducts formal observations and evaluations, supports professional growth, and ensures that teacher candidates meet program, state, and accreditation requirements for licensure. The role emphasizes mentoring, reflective practice, and continuous improvement aligned with professional teaching standards. The School of Education seeks candidates to supervise apprenticeship and internships in Michigan, with current needs in the northwest and southwest regions of the state. Candidates in other regions are invited to apply (indicate the desired region), in the event that we have needs in their area. This is a pooled position. Additionally, one or more applicants may be hired to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis (as needs emerge). Such courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of these positions is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest.

The Director of Online Innovation and Development leads institutional efforts to advance the development, expansion, and operational success of online academic programs. This role partners closely with colleges and academic departments to design and implement administrative structures, operational processes, and student support frameworks necessary for high-quality online program delivery. The Director works with academic leadership to identify opportunities for innovation in online program models, student support strategies, and program delivery structures that improve access, flexibility, and student success. This position focuses on program-level strategy, operational infrastructure, and the overall student experience in online programs. The anticipated start date for this position is May 2026. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

Clery Act Compliance Officer Big Rapids, MI 49307
Reporting to the Director of Public Safety, the Clery Act Compliance Officer serves as the campus coordinator responsible for compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. Working collaboratively with the Ferris State University Department of Public Safety and other campus departments, the Clery Act Compliance Officer serves as the expert resource for all laws and regulations as outlined in the Federal Clery Act as well as laws and regulations retaining to the processing, retention, release, and disposition of department of public safety and Clery records. This position helps develop a comprehensive, “best practice” Clery Act Compliance program.
