Purpose of the Position:

The Principal Research Engineer IV will perform funded research with government (national, state, and local) industry and university organizations. The incumbent will perform computer-related research and tasks to support modeling, networking, and systems engineering.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform cybersecurity research and development for CCRE customers.
• Serve as Principal Investigator and Subject Matter Expert on research projects: Tasks include building research teams, developing proposals, and managing research projects.
• Identify and review potential opportunities for CCRE. Develop and write proposals with CCRE team members and external collaborators. Target agencies include but are not limited to: NSF, NSA, ERDC, US Army, MDA, NIH, NICE, DHS, FBI, DOE, DoD Agencies and commercial contractors.
• Attend local, regional and national events such as conferences, workshops, symposia, etc

Minimum Requirements:

• Ph.D. or an equivalent combination of education and years of professional experience
• 5 - 5.5 years of full-time verifiable work experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Must be eligible for Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Science, Engineering or Business is preferred
• Previous experience in cybersecurity, computing security, information assurance, and curriculum development is desired
• Experience writing grants is preferred
• Experience in cyber-physical system security, reverse engineering and embedded systems is preferred
• Experience in assembly language programming is desired

Published Salary (if available):

$156,762 - $163,886
