We’re seeking a talented graphic designer with strong typography, print and production skills to join our Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the creative director, this role is key in developing visually compelling content for both print and digital platforms that elevate the DMU brand and support strategic goals. You’ll collaborate with campus partners to deliver targeted marketing materials for external audiences, while also leading the creation and training of branded communication templates for internal use. From designing brochures and signage to assisting with digital content creation alongside our photographer/videographer and web specialist, your work will help shape the visual voice of DMU.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with team members to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, leveraging earned, owned and paid media to support the university’s goals.
  • Design and support the production of all marketing assets, including but not limited to print materials, external publications, advertising campaigns, donor narratives, social media, websites, email campaigns, news media, videos, multimedia presentations and other promotional channels.
  • Coordinate the design and development of multiple projects simultaneously from conception through final product and delivery.
  • Offer visual and marketing support for high-visibility special events and community outreach projects.
  • Coordinate with the content marketing team to align visual elements with written content and messaging.
  • Stay updated on design trends, industry standards and emerging technologies to continually enhance the visual identity and effectiveness of DMU’s marketing efforts.

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience, is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in content design and/or marketing or a related role.
  • Open to obtain drone certification (e.g., FAA Part 107) for aerial photography/videography tasks.
