About the Role

As a member of the Business Operations team, the Business Support Officer:

  • In conjunction with the Manager – Business Operations, coordinates and provides supervision, support and ongoing training to the Business Operations team.
  • Provides leadership in the delivery of financial, administrative and operational support services.
  • Coordinates client document and file management services for Services for Children and Families to ensure services adhere to legislative requirements and best practice management.

Period of Appointment

2 September 2025 - 19 June 2026

Hours per fortnight

15.2 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
  • The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1 Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) crimes of violence
b) sex related offences
c) serious drug offences
d) crimes involving dishonesty
e) serious traffic offences

2 Identification check
3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
