About the Role
We’re looking for experienced Operations Coordinators to join our team at Ashley Youth Detention Centre. This is a critical frontline leadership role responsible for running operations and leading teams in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
In this role you will;
- Lead and coordinate daily centre operations
- Manage and support the team of Youth Workers on shift
- Make critical decisions to manage risk and maintain safety
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to support outcomes for young people
- Work 12 hours shifts, with set monthly rotating rosters.
- You will be allocated to a daytime or nighttime role
This is a hands-on, shift-based, leadership role where no two days are the same!

Condition of Employment
- Salary $102,027 to $ 106,985 per annum + 6.5% corrections allowance + super
- Award/ Agreement: Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award
- Classification: General Stream Band 5
- Location: Ashley Youth Detention Centre in Deloraine
Essential Requirements
To be eligible, you must have:
- Have a current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Employment/Volunteer Status, or the ability to obtain
- Satisfy the pre-employment check
