The Arizona Lottery is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Internal Auditor!
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

- Developing and implementing a yearly audit plan;
- Preparing detailed reports on audit findings;
- Examining, investigating, and reviewing records, reports, financial statements, and management practices;
- Planning and organizing audit procedures;
- Collecting and analyzing data to detect deficient controls, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies;
- Inspecting account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions;
- Verifying game effective start date is updated correctly in the appropriate systems;
- Verifying accuracy of game data loaded into the appropriate system;
- Verifying accuracy of game data printed in accordance with the game working papers;
- Comparing game load information to game load reports;
- Accounting for the final disposition of instant tickets originally received from the applicable vendor after the validation period has expired for the game;
- Observing in-house drawings and verifying their accuracy;
- Processing weekly payments to the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) for Arizona Powerball sales and Arizona Mega Millions sales;
- Processing winning online and scratcher tickets that will not validate through the claims screens; Verifying log and payment for second chance drawings.

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, or a field emphasizing data organization, analytical skills, research, or writing; OR two years experience as an Auditor or equivalent.
