Job Summary:

Provides support to the Games & Systems Unit to ensure the gaming regulations and standards are met and in compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, Appendices, and Minimum Internal Control Standards.

Reviews and/or approves casino internal controls, policies and procedures, rules and regulations for new or revised card and table games, event wagering, promotions, lotteries, and tournaments.

Researches and develops internal procedures for the tracking, storage and maintenance of the aforementioned documents. Reviews and analyzes existing and emerging technologies and products for compliance and to identify potential regulatory issues.

Participates in the biennial Tribal Compact Compliance Reviews and to audit tribal compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, Appendices, and Minimum Internal Control Standards.

Occasionally facilitates card and table game training for the tribal partners and external stakeholders.

Assists in assembling correspondence and developing regulatory standards for any new gaming activity as allowed by the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact.

Builds effective collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that applicable regulatory and compliance communications concerning legal, regulatory, technological, and/or operational issues are disseminated in a timely manner.

Provides support to the Games & Systems Manager by collecting and coordinating regulatory and compliance data and procedures.

Works closely with Tribal Gaming Offices to identify and explain potential areas of non-compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact and appendices and to find solutions to resolve those issues.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

• Reviews and approves casino internal controls, policies and procedures, rules, and regulations for new and/or revised card and table games, event wagering, promotions, lotteries, and tournaments. Works corroboratively with the Games and Systems Manager regarding Tribal-State Gaming Compact and appendices interpretations and regulatory issues, and gaming industry regulatory and compliance standards.

• Works closely with Tribal Gaming Offices, Gaming Facility Operators, manufacturers, distributors and testing laboratories regarding all aspects of the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, appendices, and Minimum Internal Control Standards. Works to identify and explain potential areas of non-compliance and work in partnership with the partners and stakeholders to collaboratively find solutions to resolve any non-compliant issues.

• Review and analyze existing and emerging regulations, technologies, and products for compliance and to identify potential regulatory issues. Provides support throughout the Agency by collecting and coordinating regulatory and compliance data and procedures.

• Provides internal and external training and/or presentations to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and Agency objectives.

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, and/or a minimum of three (3) years in the gaming industry.
