Posting Details:

Salary: $60,000 - $63,000 

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Summary:

This position will oversee the day-to-day management of approximately 30-60 contracts, which are managed by the Community Development & Revitalization (CD&R) Programs division of the Arizona Department of Housing. This program provides federal funding for a wide range of housing, community development and revitalization efforts, including funding for housing rehabilitation and other community development activities. This position will focus on overseeing contracts connected with a variety of community development activities and housing rehabilitation. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

This position will review project applications; make funding recommendations to the Program Administrator; prepare contractual agreements and related documents; review documentation for compliance with federal cross cutting regulations such as Environmental Review, Labor Standards, Procurement, Section 3, etc.; review project performance and expenditure reports; perform desk and site monitoring visits; assist the CD&R Team with competitive project round scoring; and other duties as assigned. This position will work closely with units of local government, non-profit and for profit entities throughout project implementation and provide technical assistance as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Highest qualified candidates will have at knowledge of the state and federal funding sources administered by the agency including the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), State Housing Trust Funds (SHTF), State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SFRF), and other public financing tools. The candidate must have contract management experience.

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program. New ASRS members will have a 27-week waiting period for membership. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement.
