The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation &Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking to fill the Systems/Network Manager position. This position is responsible for project planning and coordination of all project work within field operations to ensure project consistency and standardization and train staff in standard work. Is the primary interface with the Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO) and all contracted project vendors. Also, responsible for supervising the design, installation, modification, maintenance and management of Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) environments throughout the state.
- Provides project management support for projects statewide
- Interfaces with the Project Management Office (PMO) with Project Investment and Justification (PIJ) and project status
- Defines project scope, attends vendor walks, reviews quotes and provides input into vendor selection
- Attends meetings, completes reports and documentation
- Provides effective recommendations concerning LAN/WAN strategies, system acquisitions, enhancements and upgrades
- Analyzes and resolves complicated operating problems to optimize network performances
- Supervises and evaluates staff and addresses various personnel issues
- Designs, installs, configures, tests and monitors various types of operating systems and hardware for departmental and multi-departmental LAN/WAN systems, including the internet
- Conducts diagnostic tests on hardware, cabling and software
- Attends training classes, seminars and keeps abreast of current industry standards
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

- Five (5) years of experience working in an IT environment

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation, drug test, and possibly a medical/physical examination.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
