The Program Specialist leads the continuing education, modernization, and improved efficiency efforts of the Claims Division. The Program Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the ICA Claims Division’s programs are effective and accessible. They are reponsible for the deep dive into the Claims Division data focused on industry compliance and internal training. Their primary responsibility is managing the Adjuster Authorization
program (Rule 20-5-130) to and conducting data analysis on the Claim’s Division’s compliance programs. They will assist in the creation or enhancement of program plans, policies and procedure.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Program Planning, Development, Management
o Develop data driven program plans, implement and manage the Claims Division's adjuster and compliance programs.
o Track program progress, collecting and analyzing data, evaluating the effectiveness of program activities.
o Conduct on-line and in-person training presentations to stakeholders.
o Writes procedures and processes (Standard Work)
● Data Analysis
o Analyze and report on workers' compensation data to identify opportunities for improvement of internal processes and strategize external outreach efforts.
o Modernize compliance programs by gathering information, identifying trends, making recommendations, and implementing ideas for improvement to increase quality and compliance with existing Arizona W/C laws, rules, and statutes.
o Conduct audits to proactively identify internal and external compliance issues.
● Annual Claims Seminar
o Manages the operation side of the Annual Claims Seminar including, but not limited to: working with outside event planner; work with the Management Information Systems (MIS) staff to prepare for seminar website updates; coordinate instructor/speakers; and on the day of the seminar act as lead by directing staff to ensure a successful event.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Bachelors in Business Administration or Public Administration. Equivalent work experience in Arizona Workers Compensation, training, and program/project development can be substituted

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
