PLANS EXAMINER REMOTE OPTIONS, PHOENIX
This position is responsible for reviewing submitted construction and installation plans for compliance with Statute, Rule, adopted codes and standards. This position provides regulatory and code guidance to department personnel, licensees, local jurisdictions, registrants, contractors, and the public. Reporting, data collection, and record keeping. Other duties as assigned. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, in Arizona, to include in-office hoteling, based on the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
FACTORY BUILT BUILDING PLANT INSPECTOR REMOTE OPTIONS, PHOENIX
Reporting to the Factory Built Building (FBB) Program Manager, FBB Inspectors monitor the many stages of manufacturer certification, unit production, and installation of FBBs regulated by the Department to maintain standards of quality and safety in the construction of these buildings. This position provides surveillance, quality assurance, and administrative support and produces reports of monitoring and inspection results to the FBB Manager. Provides input for development of processes and procedures. Enforces State statutes and International Codes for FBB construction. These functions support the Agency's mission to maintain standards of quality and safety for the occupants of these regulated structures. Other duties as assigned. The Squad Leader will supervise and lead the work activities of one ten-person forestry squad consisting of Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry (ADCRR) inmates. Work will include implementing forestry-related work, transporting squad members from the ADCRR facility to the worksite and back each day, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and inventorying equipment and supplies. It will also include documenting squad member time, incident records, training accomplishments, productivity metrics, and receipts.

Performs work corresponding to the activities within the Laboratory Licensure and Certification Office. Assists or determines the issuing of licenses to laboratories (Clinical) by ensuring the minimum standards of proficiency, methodology, quality assurance, operation and safety. Conducts initial and periodic inspections of laboratories and facilities to determine compliance with the Federal Code of Regulations, state Statutes or Rules. Review of quality systems by tracking documents, corrective actions, and other quality data. Conducts investigations of the operation of a licensed laboratory upon receiving a complaint or of an unlicensed laboratory performing compliance testing. This position is required to perform work at/attend meetings at alternate locations and/or travel (in and out of state) when necessary, possibly requiring a state, personal or rented vehicle. Corresponds with the regulated lab community or with regulatory bodies, responds to technical questions from the laboratories, development of standards, rule making and laboratory inspections. Perform, assist or review detailed investigative or inspection reports, statements of deficiencies, and correspondence regarding changes in the status of a laboratory's certification, or other types of legal orders.
