Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and revise curriculum to reflect current industry practices and prepare students for recognized industry-based credentials (e.g., Google Career Certificates, CompTIA, Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks).
• Provide engaging instruction in short-term, non-credit courses offered in-person, online, or hybrid formats.
• Integrate employability skills, digital literacy, and hands-on practice into instruction to promote workplace readiness.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with college faculty and program leaders to align non-credit programs with credit-bearing programs and identify opportunities for articulation and Prior Learning Assessment (PLA).
• Assist students in understanding and accessing PLA opportunities that can accelerate their academic and career progression.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, certifications, and local workforce demands.
• Partner with employers and workforce stakeholders to ensure training content remains relevant and responsive to employer needs.
• Support student retention and success through mentoring, career coaching, and referrals to college and community resources.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development.

Required Education: 

• Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in business, information technology, or related industry.
• Recognized industry certifications preferred (e.g., Google Career Certificates, CompTIA, PMP, Microsoft Office Suite Specialist).
• Teaching or training experience with adult learners, particularly in workforce or career education settings.
• Proficiency in digital tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience developing curriculum aligned with industry-based credentials.
• Familiarity with Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) and credit articulation processes.
• Knowledge of workforce development systems and employer engagement strategies.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including adult learners, English language

*This position will require travel across the twelve-parish service area in Northeast Louisiana to conduct training.
