Job Title: Content Creator for Wesleyan Theological Network (Part-time)

Reporting Relationship: Yamil Acevedo

Unit: Wesley Seminary

Department: Seminary Administration

Campus Location: Online

Summary of Position:    This position will oversee the creation and development of content for the seminary’s online resource website and app. The position will be responsible for the creation of new and unique content to be delivered via the app as well as coordinate the creation of resources by other contributing authors. The position will work as lead member of the resource hub team that includes in addition to the creator, the curator, convener, and technical support.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help give vision, purpose, parameters, and development of the resource hub 
  • Help in the conceptual development and marketing of the resource hub 
  • Serve as a Learning Innovation team member, working closely with the Director of Wesleyan Theological Network, and the other members of the team 
  • Create unique content to be provided via the app 
  • Network and enlist others to assist in content creation
  • Serve as liaison with external resource providers such as Seedbed Publishing

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, or a similar field

Experience

  • Experience creating strong, engaging content
  • A portfolio of applicable outputs
  • An understanding of SEO best practices
  • Expansive ministry network within the pan-Wesleyan traditions

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing
  • Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • The capacity to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy
