This is an opportunity to join a role with an immediate and important focus across our Child and Family Services program of work, before transitioning into a broader portfolio of business projects and organisational improvement initiatives.

About the role

In the initial phase of the role, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and EGM Practice and Operational Excellence, supporting a significant program of work that includes a Policy and Procedure Uplift Program.

You will bring strong project management, business improvement and stakeholder engagement capability, together with an understanding of the operating environment across Child and Family Services.

  • Leading and coordinating business projects and programs from initiation through to implementation
  • Supporting the uplift and development of policies, procedures, frameworks and business processes
  • Reviewing and mapping current processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Developing project plans, governance, reporting, executive papers and briefing materials
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies and project outcomes
  • Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to support decision-making and delivery
  • Supporting communication and change activities to embed new ways of working
  • Developing high-quality documentation, including frameworks, SOPs, reports and communications
  • Contributing to broader business improvement and organisational transformation initiatives

About you

You will be an experienced project professional who understands that successful transformation is about more than delivering a project plan. You will be confident working with senior stakeholders, navigating complex environments and translating business requirements into practical and sustainable outcomes.

  • Relevant tertiary or graduate qualifications, or equivalent experience in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Business, Public Policy, Leadership or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience delivering business-led projects and programs
  • Strong capability in governance, policy development and business improvement
  • Experience working within regulated human services environments, particularly Child and Family Services, Out of Home Care, child protection or disability
  • Understanding of safeguarding, regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and child safe standards
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders while also taking ownership of delivery
  • A practical, outcomes-focused approach to change and continuous improvement

Why join us?

This is a great opportunity to have a genuine impact on how services are delivered and supported across Possability Group.

You will work closely with senior leaders and have the opportunity to influence policy, practice, processes and organisational ways of working, while building your experience across a broader portfolio of business transformation initiatives.

We are Inspired, Courageous, Skilful and Responsive, and we are looking for someone who brings those values to the way they work.

Hybrid working arrangements are available, with up to two days per week working from home by agreement. Some travel may be required.
