The Professor of Environmental Humanities and/or Social Sciences is expected to exercise a special responsibility in providing leadership and in fostering excellence in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development in the academic discipline within the School, within the university and within the community, both scholarly and general. Specifically, the appointee to this position will be expected to provide leadership of the Monash Climate Change Communication Research Hub (MCCCRH)’s Malaysia Node. The MCCCRH’s researchers are based across Monash’s Australian, Malaysian and Indonesian campuses, with a Director based in the Caulfield campus in Melbourne.
Senior Administrative Executive, Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies - Malaysia Hub Main campus - Malaysia HEW 6
The Hub Administrator will provide essential administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the CLARS Malaysia Hub, facilitating its research, education, and engagement activities. Research Fellow, Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies - Malaysia Hub Main campus - Malaysia Level B
The Research Fellow will play a pivotal role in advancing the research agenda of the CLARS Malaysia Hub, specifically for the Contract Law Review and Reform Project funded by the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister's Department (BHEUU). The Senior Administrative Executive, Admission is responsible to assess applications into Monash University Malaysia campus degree courses and convert applications to Offers, providing expert advice on local and international qualifications to the stakeholders. This role must be able to demonstrate experience in the interpretation and application of academic and administrative policy and have the ability to come up with decisive decision making in relevance to assessment of academic qualifications. This role also requires the incumbent to understand the educational system of Australia and Malaysia and other countries. The incumbent is also responsible for professional engagements with internal units within the organization and with Monash University external stakeholders. The incumbent must also be proactively involved in project(s) and process improvement exercises undertaken by the office but not limited to the entire Marketing & Future Students team and whole organization.

Key responsibilities also include scheduling and tracking equipment loans, providing videography and video editing services, assisting with practical demonstrations during tutorials, and monitoring screenings. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting production-related issues, offering training to staff and students, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and resources.

The incumbent will will focus on identifying training needs, designing learning and career development initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous development. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with stakeholders, leading key projects, ensuring policy development and governance, as well as ensuring the smooth delivery of operational and administrative tasks to meet the demands of the Talent Development team.
Associate Head of School (Engagement) & Associate Professor/ Professor (Computer Science/Software Engineering/AI) Main campus - Malaysia Level E
The Associate Head of School (Engagement) (AHoSN) is responsible to the School of Information Technology and to the Malaysia Campus for the provision of leadership and management within the School in the area of student engagement, positive & progressive academic staff culture, as well as external engagement and impact.  The AHoSN will champion the engagement initiatives with current, past (alumni) and future students, in line with the School’s strategic plans to have long-term synergistic relationships with its student population. This also includes leading all industry, government and community relationships and initiatives. Working within Monash’s strategy framework to support key engagement objectives to build partnerships with individuals, government and other organisations, this position is to enrich our ability to innovate and apply our educational initiatives and/or research to make significant impact to our community, and to ensure outstanding enterprising capabilities and opportunities for students.  This position is a member of the School senior leadership team and is a contributor, in the area of specialisation, to the overall management of the School. This position will also chair the School’s Industry Advisory Panel. The incumbent will be appointed to level D (Associate Professor) or E (Professor) depending on his/her experience and qualifications.  Academics at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction in their disciplinary area.
