The Opportunity
The Manager, Business Continuity and Risk leads the coordination and continuous enhancement of Monash University Malaysia’s business continuity and operational resilience framework. The role ensures that business continuity arrangements are comprehensive, regularly tested, well-documented and aligned with Monash Group frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk, Internal Audit and Business Continuity, the position is primarily responsible for maintaining and strengthening Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), facilitating scenario exercises and simulations with functional areas, and supporting campus-wide preparedness, response and recovery capabilities. The role also contributes to the identification, assessment and monitoring of operational risks that may impact critical services and strategic objectives.
In addition, the position provides limited coordination support for internal audit activities, including tracking management actions and maintaining accurate documentation to support governance and assurance processes. Overall, the role plays a key part in enhancing institutional resilience and ensuring that continuity and risk management practices remain effective, integrated and responsive to emerging challenges.
