The Opportunity
A Level B academic is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the university and to carry out activities to maintain and develop her/his scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline.
The Level B Lecturer will contribute to teaching (40%), research (40%), and engagement (20%) in strategic communications, supporting postgraduate education and strengthening Monash Malaysia’s profile in socially engaged, future‑focused learning.
The role encompasses communication, public relations, digital literacy and storytelling, with scope to draw on examples from Asia, Southeast Asia, or other international contexts. The appointee will contribute to curriculum development, supervise Honours and postgraduate students, and conduct high‑quality research in Public Relations and related fields. Evidence of successful grant applications, publication outcomes, and collaborative or multi‑disciplinary research will be an advantage. The candidate is expected to be a keen learner who will grow their expertise and research capacity, ideally with a research focus broadly compatible with the school’s strengths.
