The Opportunity

The primary role of the Technical Officer is to provide a variety of professional and high-quality technical services to assist the Director and Assistant Manager in the operations of Monash University Malaysia Genomics Platform (MUMGP). The incumbent will apply theoretical and technical knowledge to provide a range of technical services to support the delivery of specialized services including nucleic acid extractions, targeted amplifications, high throughput sequencing library preparations and sequencing services for students, staff and clients. The incumbent is responsible to ensure that the Genomics Platform and its equipment are operated at the highest standard in terms of laboratory safety and operation management. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 

Reporting Line: The position reports to the Assistant Manager, Monash University Malaysia Genomics Platform (MUMGP).
