Communications and Engagement Manager Main campus - Malaysia HEW 7
The Department of Global Population Health (GPH) at Monash University Malaysia conducts research, policy engagement, and advocacy on the structural, commercial, and political determinants of health and health equity, with a strong social justice orientation. The Department hosts the South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO) and contributes to major global initiatives in academic and policy spaces. As its research and convening profile grows, GPH requires dedicated communications support to strengthen its external presence and translate its work for policy, academic, and community audiences. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Communications and Engagement Manager to lead and deliver GPH’s external communications, raising the visibility and reach of the Department’s research, convenings, and policy contributions across digital, written, and event-based channels. The Communications Lead owns communications strategy, standards and quality, and works as an enabler and coordinator — commissioning and editing content and drawing contributions from across the Department — rather than personally producing every output. Liaising with faculty and staff to source content and keep the pipeline full is a central part of the role.
Assistant Manager, Admissions Main campus - Malaysia HEW 6
The Admissions is responsible for maximising the quality and number of student admission. It plays an important role in maintaining academic integrity through a high quality and systematic admission process that is consistent with the University and Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) ’s policies and procedures. This includes the assessment of applications, provision of expert advice on all qualification matters, and is accountable for the conversion rate for each intake. The Assistant Manager (Admissions) is responsible to assess applications into Monash University Malaysia campus degree courses and convert applications to Offers, providing expert advice on local and international qualifications to the stakeholders. This role must be able to demonstrate experience in the interpretation and application of academic and administrative policy and have the ability to come up with decisive decision making in relevance to assessment of academic qualifications. This role also requires the incumbent to understand the educational system of Australia and Malaysia and other countries.

The Manager, Business Continuity and Risk oversees and strengthens Monash University Malaysia’s business continuity and operational resilience framework. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk, Internal Audit and Business Continuity, the role ensures Business Continuity Plans are comprehensive, tested and aligned with group and regulatory requirements. It leads scenario exercises, supports campus preparedness and recovery, and monitors operational risks affecting critical services and strategy. The position also provides limited support for internal audit coordination, tracking management actions and maintaining documentation to support governance and assurance, enhancing overall institutional resilience.

Senior Lecturer Main campus - Malaysia Level C
A Level C academic is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching effort of a discipline, school, faculty or other organisational unit or an interdisciplinary area. An academic at this level is also expected to play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities. The key result areas of Research, Teaching and Engagement are the basis for the primary duties and responsibilities of the role. A workload will be agreed upon annually with the Head of School during the Performance Development Plan process. Other duties may be required from time to time as directed by the Head of School.
