The Opportunity
A Level E academic is expected to exercise a special responsibility in providing leadership and in fostering excellence in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development in the academic discipline within the school or other comparable organisational unit, within the university and within the community, both scholarly and general.
The academic will build and advance the University's Education and Research Reform Agenda within the Discipline and support the University to achieve its aspiration of education and research excellence and innovation in the ASEAN region.
The appointee will provide educational leadership and contribute to teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programs in Management, drawing on expertise in leadership, organisational behaviour and digital business. The areas of interest include but not limited to human resource management, organisational behavior, strategic management, international management, organisational change, digital business and business sustainability. The academic will also develop enduring partnerships, mentor academic staff and contribute to senior decision-making and academic governance across the Department and School.
The academic will also establish and lead an internationally recognised program of research, produce high-quality and high-impact scholarship, secure competitive external funding, supervise research students to successful completion and build the capability of colleagues and research teams. The role is expected to generate demonstrable impact on the discipline and on industry, policy, practice and communities.
Reporting line: The position reports to Head, Department of Management or Head of School, School of Business.
