The English Department/ESL Program at STLCC is seeking a part time, temporary ESL Adjunct Instructor to begin in January- Spring 2025 semester teaching assignment will be at the Florissant Valley campus, but with the possibility of additional classes at Meramec or the Forest Park Campus. Preference will be given to those with community college experience in teaching English as a second or third language. The desired candidate will have a Master’s degree or higher in TESOL, Linguistics or other related field. The new ESL temporary faculty will have experience teaching academic writing, low intermediate to advanced grammar and English listening and pronunciation skills. The successful candidate will be confident using technology and practice varied teaching techniques. The new temporary adjunct faculty will reach students where they are and guide them to the next level of English in the four skill areas. |

The new Radiologic Technology faculty member will be expected to teach, mentor students, fulfill administrative duties within the Radiologic Technology program, and serve on departmental and campus committees. They will assist the Radiologic Technology Chair to assure effective program operations, and maintain current knowledge of program/clinical policies, procedures, and student progress. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of varied teaching techniques that help students develop critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of radiography to the community. Manage identification, selection, assessment, and notification process for student participants. Plans and conducts retention-directed activities and events including Peer Mentoring and Peer Tutoring programming. Plans and coordinates promotion of the program to a variety of stake holders. Coordinate with college departments including purchasing, finance and accounting, human resources, marketing and information to ensure that program goals are met. Ensure the fulfillment of grant objectives, prepare and submit Annual Performance Reports to U.S. Department of Education, and develop regular reports for District Director of TRIO Programs. Program liaison to TRIO conferences, trainings, US Department of Education Program Officer, campus committees and meetings. Perform any other duties as required in fulfillment of the project. |
