The cook is responsible for estimating food consumption and for purchasing foodstuffs; the cook will receive and examine supplies to ensure quality and quantity meets established standards and specifications. The cook is responsible for the selection and development of recipes, as well as cooking or otherwise preparing food, such as carving meats or trimming and cutting. The cook will work with other personnel to prepare meals and will give instructions to workers as to size portions and methods of garnishing.

As the safety officer, you will patrol assigned areas to ensure personal, building, and equipment security by examining doors, windows, and gates with university keys to open and close them. In this role you will monitor closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities; provide escort services for visitors, students, staff, and faculty; and provide public assistance, such as lockout services, jump-starts, and routine information. Responsibilities include watching for and reporting irregularities such as security breaches and hazards, contacting emergency responders, confronting and/or detaining violators until police arrive, and performing periodic checks of emergency call boxes and/or streetlights to ensure proper functioning. In this position you will be expected to prepare routine, standardized reports, control access to facilities and events, and serve as the Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
The ideal candidate must maintain a level of physical fitness that allows for standing/walking inside or outside during a shift, running in response to calls for service, climbing or descending multiple flights of stairs, performing CPR, assisting with the lifting or carrying of persons, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Additionally, they must be able to remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons who are security code violators, approach suspicious persons, and provide safe transportation to university employees and/or visitors using an institutional vehicle as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Can successfully conduct security patrols without direct supervision and complete routine paperwork with ability to safely operate motor vehicles
Strong communication, interpersonal, flexibility, and customer service skills with ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures while reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Skill in performing building security and lock procedures with knowledge of public security codes, policies, and regulations
Knowledge of Clery Act requirements with ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety codes, regulations, and procedures

As an international student services office (ISSO) adviser, you will oversee all facets of SCAD's student and exchange visitor program (SEVIS). You will run Terra Dotta batch interface with SEVIS and SCT Banner systems and liaise with the SEVIS helpdesk on data fixes. You will also file all F-1 related applications/procedures like extensions of stay and change of non-immigrant status (COS), travel abroad and re-entry signatures/compliance, CPT, OPT, and off-campus work authorization. You will ensure a seamless transition of SEVIS records in Terra Dotta as they migrate from initial attendance records to active records. Your responsibilities will include the management of SEVIS I-20 transfer processes — such as acting as a liaison with other universities on the transfer process of prospective students — and the quarterly registration of SEVIS F-1 files to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You will also manage all transfers for I-20 processing, liaise with admission to determine quarterly transfers, and terminate all non-active SEVIS records in Terra Dotta after the drop/add period. |

University Safety Field Operations Manager

As the operations manager, you will collaborate, engage with, and oversee six to 10 trained safety officers operating in different assignments related to foot patrols, vehicular patrols, static posts assignments, and bicycle patrols within the SCAD Savannah geography. In this role you will identify and utilize best practices to implement innovative methods of all-encompassing safety and security services for the highest level of service to SCAD and will refine the standards related to the establishment of the internal university safety patrol program to promote job knowledge and enhance SCAD’s visions and commitments.
Responsibilities in this position include driving the active engagement of all internal and external stakeholders, conferring with management level university personnel and law enforcement officials on operational and policy matters, and leveraging personal job knowledge related to planning and oversight of special events at the Savannah location. You will be expected to continually improve efforts related to the development, maintenance, and implementation of evolving crime prevention programs and to engage with all levels of law enforcement in the exchange and conveyance of information during criminal investigations and for real-time assessments to determine appropriate staffing and resource deployment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least four years of security, military, or law enforcement experience and at least two years of management experience
• Extensive experience in development and establishment of patrol and staffing programs focusing on training, building extensive job knowledge and skills, customer service, and safety best practices to provide exemplary service deliverables to the university community and guests
• Possess a strong demonstrated job-based knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
University specific experience with the relevant compliance requirements of the Clery Act, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Title IX
Certification in the process of conducting threat assessments
Certification in the process of conducting special event assessments
