As a shop technician, you will maintain the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the shop equipment and facilities, proactively identifying problems and developing solutions to improve shop efficiency. Reporting to the shop manager with up-to-date inventories and safety or equipment concerns, you will demonstrate safe machine operation to students, assist faculty with class demonstrations, oversee the thorough and timely completion of daily assignments, and assist in enforcing proper use of WebCheckout for shop tools and equipment. You will also attend all college-sponsored safety training sessions and provide backup operations support during times of high demand.
CNC General Machinist Savannah
As the CNC generalist machinist, you will be responsible for adjusting machines to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut, as well as ensuring the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality output. Responsibilities will include assisting students with the fabrication of course-related projects by utilizing CNC technology in the shop; providing support with departmental and university infrastructure; and creating parts for special projects, renovations, and construction. As the director you will be responsible for ensuring quality deliverables, on-time and within budget, and assisting the project team in value engineering and the pursuit of green initiatives. In this position you will execute all phases of the design process and prepare physical needs assessments, estimates, and bids. Safety Officer, Atlanta Atlanta
As the safety officer, you will patrol assigned areas to ensure personal, building, and equipment security by examining doors, windows, and gates with university keys to open and close them. In this role you will monitor closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities; provide escort services for visitors, students, staff, and faculty; and provide public assistance, such as lockout services, jump-starts, transportation with a university vehicle, and routine information. Responsibilities include watching for and reporting irregularities such as security breaches and hazards, contacting emergency responders, confronting and/or detaining violators until police arrive, and performing periodic checks of emergency call boxes and/or streetlights to ensure proper functioning. Other expectations include directing traffic, responding to radio calls, and completing visual safety inspections. In this position you will be expected to prepare routine, standardized reports, control access to facilities and events, and serve as the Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
University Safety Field Operations Manager Savannah
As the operations manager, you will collaborate, engage with, and oversee six to 10 trained safety officers operating in different assignments related to foot patrols, vehicular patrols, static posts assignments, and bicycle patrols within the SCAD Savannah geography.
