As the academic scheduling analyst, you will perform daily operational tasks of the scheduling office to maintain and optimize inventory of course sections for multiple academic terms.

In this role you will administer daily operations in SCAD’s CourseLeaf CLSS scheduling system, working with academic department staff to build, maintain, and optimize their class schedules.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting course schedule issues, monitoring course schedule submissions to maintain efficient use of academic and classroom resources and compliance with SCAD policies, training staff in course scheduling procedures, and ensuring the timely and accurate publication of future course schedules. 

 

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as team member while effectively managing and prioritizing their workload. The candidate must be capable of developing and delivering training materials and sessions, supporting university events as needed, and working remotely to assist with business continuity plans in case of emergencies.

 

Minimum Qualifications:      

 

  • Bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience applicable to the job duties
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, assimilate, and analyze significant volume of data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Problem solving, critical thinking, communication, customer service, organizational, information evaluation, technical aptitude and detail orientation skills
  • Ability to respond in a timely and professional manner to ad hoc information requests
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office products. Experience with Banner Student Information System, CourseLeaf CLSS, and reporting systems desired

 

Travel Required:  

  •   Less than 10%

 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
