As a graduate success adviser, you will meet with an assigned caseload of students to assist them with registration, academic processes, and form completion. You will answer questions regarding changes in location or majors, educational guidelines, financial aid, and studying abroad. You will also maintain an understanding of SCAD's internal policies and procedures to enforce them with students. You will conduct early and ongoing outreach to students identified by an early alert system about registration, five-year deadlines, continuing thesis work, or financial aid reminders.
In this position, you will contact assigned students quarterly; respond to calls and emails from students, parents, and faculty or staff; and attend events—including thesis or final project presentations, graduate events, reviews, and orientations. Additionally, you will establish relationships with department chairs and graduate coordinators to understand curriculum and support schedule planning.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exemplary organizational, computer, problem-solving, and communication skills, including public speaking. They must work well in a fast-paced environment, show adaptability and flexibility, and feel comfortable contacting students by phone. They must also work well in a team and show a genuine interest in students' success and education.

Travel required:
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
