As a vice president for student success, you will provide executive-level leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures for student success. You will serve as a key member of the university’s policy team, helping to develop and oversee university policies and establish long-range goals and outcomes that improve the SCAD student experience in measurable ways. Responsibilities include the creation, enhancement, coordination, and assessment of activities and resources that impact student learning and overall experiences. Additionally, you will review assessment data and analyses of activities, costs, and operations, and forecast data to track the department’s progress toward its goals and objectives. Based on this information, you will then implement appropriate activities or initiatives.

In this role, you will serve as a Title IX sanctions officer, collaborate with the chief human resources officer and administrative staff to review achievements, and discuss necessary changes in goals or outcomes with leadership. Among your duties, you will regularly meet with the chief human resources officer to review staff supervision and address student and staff concerns regarding services, programs, and events. You will also take part in signature events such as SCAD Days, commencement, and evening and weekend work as needed.

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of experience or training (or a combination of both)

Travel required:

  • 10–20%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
