As an assistant director of SCADhome operations and analytics, you will supervise the housing technical analyst team and serve as the department’s lead for data integrity, reporting, and analytics-driven decision-making. You will report to the director of operations and provide leadership and oversight to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across all SCADhome processes. You will serve as a functional expert for the StarRez housing management system, including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Among other duties, you will partner with the director of operations to manage housing selection cycles, room assignments, cancellations, billing workflows, and room changes.

In this role, you will ensure the integrity and alignment of housing data across Banner and other institutional systems. You will serve as the primary lead for SCADhome data strategy, analytics, and reporting. Responsibilities include the development, maintenance, and enhancement of dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators related to occupancy, utilization, revenue, assignments, cancellations, room changes, billing, and operational efficiency. You will analyze trends and patterns to inform decision-making, resource allocation, staffing models, and long-term planning. You will also support assessment efforts through surveys, focus groups, and operational data analysis, then translate findings into actionable recommendations for improvement.

In this position, you will identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve system utilization, and enhance the student and staff experience through data-informed process design. In partnership with information technology and campus stakeholders, you will test, implement, and document system enhancements and new tools. Similarly, you will develop and maintain standard operating procedures for housing systems, analytics, and technical workflows. Responsibilities include collaboration with internal departments to ensure that housing operations and data align with institutional goals and communication with students and families to provide accurate, timely data to inform messaging and decision-making. You will also serve as a key point of contact for operational data requests, ad hoc reporting, and cross-departmental analysis related to residential operations.

As an assistant director, you will directly supervise a team of three housing technical analysts and provide coaching, training, performance feedback, and professional development to uphold high standards of technical expertise, accuracy, accountability, and customer service. Among other duties, you will set clear expectations, workflows, and quality standards for housing operations and analytics. You will also support cross-training and knowledge-sharing to strengthen departmental resilience and continuity.

This position is identified as essential personnel in the university’s emergency and disaster response plans. In the event of a university closure or evacuation, all essential personnel shall report.

Minimum qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least three years of full-time professional experience in higher education housing, operations, analytics, or a related area
• Previous experience supervising professional staff

Preferred qualifications:
• Master’s degree with a concentration in data analytics, business analytics, service design, user experience, information systems, higher education administration, or a related field
• Background in systems thinking and data analytics
• Experience with IT, university housing and residence life, student affairs, or StarRez.

Travel required:
• Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
