As a senior mental health counselor, you will oversee individual and group counseling as assigned and consult with various internal departments. You will manage an active caseload of students with counseling needs and provide community referrals as needed. Additionally, you will provide clinical supervision to department trainees and interns and conduct outreach for psychoeducational program development and presentations. Responsibilities include prompt documentation of student contact in a computerized system, crisis intervention with students, and participation in scheduled quarterly student orientations.

Among other duties, you will maintain a personal schedule and keep it updated in both the master and computerized schedules. You will also notify your supervisor of staff development needs, participate in department performance improvement initiatives, and prepare your own PRs for supervisor approval.

Minimum qualifications: 
• Master's or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or psychology
• Training or experience with clinical supervision
• Training or experience in utilizing brief therapy models

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
• Independent licensure for at least three years with the ability to become a CPCS
• Full Georgia licensure or full licensure in another state with the ability to apply for full licensure in Georgia

Travel required:
• Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
