As the senior director of student experience, you will be responsible for enhancing and improving the SCAD student experience in Atlanta and Savannah in measurable ways. At every touchpoint, you will assess and identify student needs and benchmark data to create specified programming, taking metrics to improve the student experience at SCAD year over year. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall budget of each program, flawless event execution, and management of events staff, ensuring the SCAD brand is represented and cohesive across locations. You will also work closely with all departments on the promotion of student events to ensure audience participation, positive PR, and sponsorship opportunities.
As you establish, monitor, and evaluate programming according to the university’s mission and vision, you will oversee the offices of student events, student involvement, and SCAD Squads, providing leadership and vision to the department. Within the department, you will manage staff and performance, develop and implement policies and procedures for each office, disseminate updates and tasks to direct reports, and direct staffing across locations, often traveling between Atlanta and Savannah. You will meet regularly with the associate vice president for student experience to receive and give updates on all previous and upcoming programming; pitch ideas, concepts, and new initiatives for approval; and work to enhance SCAD Squads.
Additional responsibilities include advising and guiding other departments on SCADbound, online orientation, move-in, and Welcome Week, as well as participating in signature events of varying sizes and purposes, including SCAD Days, commencement, and other evening and weekend work as needed.
