As an associate director of admission, you will travel to strategically identified high schools to build meaningful relationships with prospective students, families, and educators as needed. Through proactive outreach — and in accordance with an established schedule — you will connect with applicants and admitted students, preferably via phone, to persuade them to complete the application process. To show them how SCAD is the ultimate destination to launch the future and career of their dreams, you will maintain knowledge on all university policies and procedures to effectively communicate accurate information about programs of study, SCAD locations, scholarships, housing, transfer credit, registration, and more. As an advocate for students, you will assemble electronic material submission for scholarship and admission review and prepare transcripts and other academic documentation for transfer evaluation.

In this role, you will get to know prospective students to determine right fit and to help them map out the beginning of their SCAD journey. Simultaneously, you will strive to meet application and enrollment goals. Through the operation of  the management system, Banner/Salesforce, you will effectively manage active applicant files, including the recording and tracking of documents, individual contact, and other pertinent information. Similarly, you will monitor accurate record keeping for student, organization, volunteer, and travel management. You will also enter plans, confirmations, and the completion of events.

As an ADA, you will attend appropriate educational and professional conferences to recruit and build relationships with remarkable students, families, educators, and counselors. You will be part of an extraordinary team of SCADvocates, coordinating the use of SCAD alumni and parent ambassadors with the office for career and alumni success (CAS) to support the university’s recruitment efforts. You will help covering LiveAgent shifts and on-ground tours or meetings with parents and students as needed. Demonstrating a team-player mindset, you will mentor new staff members and participate in all orientations for new staff, including early fall orientation sessions. Additionally, you will regularly provide feedback and ideas to admission leadership. Other duties may be assigned at any time.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational, presentation, and writing skills. They also work well independently.
